Priyanka Upendra talked about the film

I grew up in America and Singapore. I became Miss Calcutta at the age of 16 and started my career in the Bengali film industry. Between 1999 – 2003 I worked in Bengali, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Odia films for a short time.
I worked with big stars at that time. I acted in films with Vijayakanth sir, Vikram sir, Prabhu Deva, Upendra.
My first Bengali film, Hadath Prishti directed by National Award winning director Basu Chatterjee completed 25 years recently. I learned a lot in the early days of my career. Then I got married and had children. At that time, I didn’t think I would resume my acting career. I was happy with family life. Then, slowly, opportunities started coming to me again.
Back then, there were not many actresses who got married to superstars and started acting again after marriage.
It is not so easy to fulfill the expectations of the fans even if you come to act like that, who to act with?, what kind of stories to choose? Will the audience accept it with other heroes? There were many confusions about what kind of roles to play but I chose good roles and played them. I also reserved a place for myself.

I got 8 Bengali movies after the kids were born
But,
I could not go to Kolkata with children.
So, I wanted to act only in Kannada films.
I acted with Upendra in ‘Sreemati’, a remake of the Bollywood film ‘Aithras’.
Then I did ‘Crazy Star’ with Ravichandran sir

The fact that there is a market for women-centric films has opened up a new avenue.
I got many opportunities to act in horror films.
But I was determined not to let the horror continue.
Then I acted in the films ‘Iradaam Badi’ and ‘Devagi’.

‘Detective Dikshana’ is my 50th film.

When I hear a script, I am determined that it will be a film I would sit down and watch with my children.
When you get a lot of love from your fans, never let them down.
I want to act in roles and films that inspire women and children.
Many married women on social media tell me that they feel powerful when they see me in powerful roles. I want to keep it.

‘Detective Deekshana’
The director of the film, Raghu, is a hard worker.
I have already worked with him and know his commitment. When he told me the story of the film. It seemed like a character that no one had done before, so I agreed to do it.
Must be fit to do such a superhero action film.
We have looked at the character’s body language and even the smallest details.
This character represents powerful, intelligent, courageous women.
This will inspire many women, especially women who watch male heroes can now watch female superheroes in ‘Detective Deekshana”. The film tells us that women can be strong, intelligent, brave and can solve crimes just like men. It will definitely give you a new experience.

‘Detective Dikshana’ is a slick action entertainer that is highly entertaining and engaging for the audience.

It is a women centric film. We hope that this film will be a huge success commercially as well.

After Baahubali, films like KGF, RRR, Gandhara, etc. have crossed the boundaries between the South Indian film industries.

“Detective Deekshana” is also published in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Bengali languages.

After ‘Detective Deekshana’, I am currently acting in Kartha Karma Kriya, Vishwarubini Hallikemma, Kaimara and the Bengali film Master Angshuman. Apart from these films such as The Virus, Kamarottu Checkpost 2 and Ugra Avatara are gearing up for release.
