The nativity-based film with realistic essence has never missed impressing critics and audiences from all walks of life in the Tamil film industry. The right story, when told in the right manner with engaging and entertaining elements has become the winner in the commercial and critical aspects. The recently launched trailer of ‘Porkudi’ starring actor RS Karthik and actress Aradhya in the lead role, distinctly establishes that yet another hard-hitting tale with the combination of emotion, action and love is ready to enthrall the audience. The film is directed by Aaru Bala and produced by R.Thyagu, Rolston Karuppasamy, Saravanan Kuppusamy of 11 Villagers Film Production, and SS Nandhakumar of Yadav Film Production. The film will have worldwide release by William Alexander’s Picture Box Company.
The makers of this film went so long for a pursuit of location and finally found the right one with 2000 km stretch area to make sure that the film exhibits the nativity realistically. Initially people in this village were not willing to support the shooting as no movies have been shot there before. Later they all extended the best support from the beginning till the end, which enabled the team to complete the shoot perfectly as planned. The team faced several challenges during the shooting, especially with the unbearable heat and humid conditions. However, they were brimmed with positive vibes and unceasing energy as it is the first movie for almost everyone in the team, which has delivered the finest output.
Director Aaru Bala states that the film will not hurt the sentiments of any caste or particular group. It is a movie with good message about humanity and has told in an entertaining and engaging manner.
Ramesh Ezhumalai is handling the cinematography for this film, which has songs and background score composed by Senthamizh. Venkat (Viruman, Devarattam fame) is overseeing editing works. Om Prakash is choreographing stunt works and Mohamed Arsath is handling design works. Prince Prem (Makeup), Akilan Ram (Costume Designer), Vinothkumar C (Business Head), A. Vinoth Sozhagar, A. Vignesh Anbazhagan Kalathil Vendrar (Executive Producers), and Suresh Chandra (PRO) are the technicians involved in this project.
