With sibling rivalry as the base of the narration, the filmmaker has woven a tale of bloodshed and innumerable murders for gain with overwhelming violence that goes go overboard at (most) places!
It is a breakthrough film for both Linga playing Karikalan, the elder brother for whom violence is a way of life as he is a hired killer! The younger brother, Kovalan , played by R.S.Karthik matches Linga in both presence and performance, while doing not much by way of a job but spending much time in hating his elder brother!
The younger sibling, Kovalan has always remained offended since his childhood and holds a strong feeling that their Mom favours his elder sibling, always!
Janaki Suresh as their Mom is more than adequate.
As the screenplay unfolds in a non-linear fashion, Karikalan is now serving a jail-term while his Mom dies and unfortunately, the corpse starts decomposing!
With a hidden agenda, Kovalan tries to get Karikalan out on Parole through the help of a lawyer, Gifty Maria (Vinodhini Vaidyanathan) but as the efforts unwind, Parole gets rejected and ultimately what happens to the brothers and whether they get to understand each other is the action as well as twist packed rest!
Mahesh Thirunavukkarasu’s camera has captured the action blocks quite scaringly!
Rajkumar Amal’s background score is effective.
