SILVER CLOUDS!

Malayalam films with Kathiayalam are continuously released in Tamil Nadu and are collecting huge collections. In this situation, a group from the Malayalam film industry has taken up the work of releasing a film titled ‘RK Vellimegam’ in Tamil.

Sainu Savakadan, who has directed five films in Malayalam, has directed this film as his sixth film on a psycho-thriller subject, with commercial features.

The film stars Vijay Gaurish, Rupesh Babu, Sunil Aravind, Subramaniapuram Vishitran, Athira Murali, Charmila, Vincent Roy who are familiar with comedy roles in Tamil films, Kotachi, Sinrasu and many others.

Yathukrishnan penned the film’s story, Kauai Balu penned the screenplay and dialogues.

The live Tamil film ‘RK Vellimegam’ is soon to hit the theaters and the crew met the press in Chennai on 24.4.2024.

RK Anbuch Selvan, President of Small Investment Film Producers Association, attended the event along with the film crew as a special guest.

When Vijay Gaureesh, the film’s protagonist, spoke at the event, he said, “I played a villain in the film ‘Jyoti’ two years ago. Next, a film called ‘Start Camera Action’ is going to be released. I am happy to play the hero in the next film Vellimegam. I asked the director about ‘Velli Megam’. We see clouds visible in the sky. It is visible to our eyes like silvery metal in pale color. But, if you look closer to that cloud, it will be different. Think of one thing in the same picture. But, the story goes differently. Semayana is a thriller film. There is a lot of suspense in the film. The shooting took place in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The actors and other technicians have worked with complete dedication in the film. The biggest joy I got from acting in this film was that the man who did all the make-up for Salman Khan did the make-up for me. Similarly, acting with seniors like Sharmila was also a good experience.

Ticket fees, parking fees and popcorn rates are all reasons why people cannot come to theaters to watch small budget films. A family movie costs up to 2000. If this situation is to change, the government should take 50, 60 small theaters and run them. Through that, small films will reach people. Government will also get income. I am making this request to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and Minister Udayanidhi Stalin,” he said.

Speaking to the director of the film Sainu Savakkad, he said, “The plot of the film is the cinema in the cinema. Two young men come to Chennai with the desire of cinema and try for opportunities. We have given the things they encounter with unexpected twists and suspense. Beyond that, the story cannot be told now. Watch the movie and find out. Everyone will definitely like the film,” he said.

When the producer of the film —————- spoke, ”Though this is a thriller film, we have taken the family story as the centerpiece. The story will be understood only after watching the entire film. There is suspense until the climax. There are four songs, fight scenes, commercial features and humor. As the director and other technicians are from the Malayalam cinema field, many Tamil actors and actresses have acted in the film. We are planning to release the film next month,” he said.

  • Small Investment Film Producers Association President Anbuch Selvan* said, “If a producer comes from Malayalam to make a Tamil film, we all should welcome it. Manjumal boys from there. All the Premalu films win here because of the content. This movie is coming in Tamil with same good content. This too will be a big hit here. If there is such a success, many more people like the producer of this film will come forward to make a Tamil film.

Cinema field is good. Good movies will come out if only one person does all the work and whoever knows what to do. will succeed. Those who love cinema will definitely win,” he said.

When Charmila, who acted in the film, spoke, “I am a mother to the hero in this film. I have acted in many Malayalam films. When I was called for this film, I thought it would be an ordinary film. But, otherwise, it was a different kind of experience.”

Divya, one of the heroines of the film, said, “The director gave me a chance in this film after seeing the films I had acted in Malayalam. This is my first Tamil film. I have acted in the role of Ranjan. Twist and turn happens through my character in the film. I have such a strong character” he said.

After sharing his experiences of acting in this film, actor Adesh Bala said, “In the current situation, poor people cannot go to theaters to watch films. The reason is fees. When Jayalalithamma was CM, the fee was lower

They said that mini theaters will be created where people can watch movies. If it is implemented now, even common people will come to theaters to watch films. Films will win. I request the current government to take this into consideration and implement it,” he said.

Other actors and actresses including Rupesh, one of the protagonists in the film, also shared their experiences of acting in the film.
