At the launch of Folk Marley Records Audio Company in Chennai, Antony Dasan has a huge fan base across the globe. Like those fans, I am also a fan of Antonithasan, Chinnakuil Chitra spoke excitedly. Antonidasan is not only a great singer but also a wonderful actor. Director Seenu Ramasamy said that he will direct a film in which Anthonitasan plays the hero.
Singer-composer Antony Dasan has launched a new audio company, Folk Marley Records, for overlooked folk singers and artists.
Antony Dasan and Rita Antony are well known folk artists and singers in South Tamil Nadu. Due to his hard work, Antonydasan has made a place for himself in the cinema today and has also found a place in people’s hearts. He is successfully traveling his artistic journey as a karakattam artist, folk singer, lyricist, music composer and actor.
With the aim of creating a platform for artists who are not getting the right opportunities without forgetting the path they have passed and being a guide to the artists who do not get light through it. Folk started Marley Records.
Those who know how to write songs, who know lessons, who know how to handle musical instruments but still have talent in music but do not get an opportunity can contact Folk Marley Records. The company will help guide and create songs for them. Songwriters can also publish through Folk Marley Records.
Folk Marley Records launch ceremony was held in Chennai yesterday. The ceremony started with a Tamil Thai greeting song by Adyar College of Music Alumni followed by Folk Marley Records CEO Murugan Chant and hosted by Kavitha and KBY Bala. Director Seenuramasamy, Chinnakuil Chitra, Music Director Singer Pradeep Kumar, Raufa and Pradeepa of Media Magic, Khana Bala, Malathi Lashman, Kitakuzhi Mariammal, Actor Aruldas, Singers V.M. Mahalingam, Anthiakudi Ilayaraja, Akkati Arumugam, Velmurugan, Meenakshi Ilayaraja, Reetha Anthony, Kanagaraj, Mukesh, Leshmi Chanru, Folk Marley Records released the song “Nadodip Patukku” with excellent direction and cinematography, director, cinematographer Riyas and his team, including lyricist Lavaradhan. Many artists participated. PR Gunaseelan did a good job of media relations. Chinna and Raja Pakriswamy had done the arrangements well.

I appreciate this initiative of Antony Dasan, it is commendable that he has started this company with the intention of uplifting artists like him without forgetting the path he has walked. My support is always for Antony Dasan, everyone knows that Antonidasan is a wonderful singer. But Anthony Dasan is a great actor. He said that he will direct a film in which Anthonitasan plays the hero.
Speaking at the function, Chinnakuil Chitra said,
Anthony Dasan has many fans all over the world. Like those fans, I am also a fan of Antony Dasan and I have told him this. I have said it on stage. It is a family event. I have heard the voice of so many singers. I got a chance to see them live on this stage. Anthony was a very good man, a very kind man. I am moved to see how he lovingly cares for his family and those around him. He said that he wished Antonidasan great success in all his endeavors.
They usually talk a lot in programs like this. But in this show, as all the special guests were singers, all the guests sang enthusiastically and the hall was rocked with amazing applause. Chinnakuil Chitra also sang her part, “Malargar Ketene Vaname Thantanai” and the audience clapped and chanted for joy when she finished singing.
Anthony Dasan’s wife Rita Antony, who came on stage as a surprise guest, rocked the hall with her speech. Along with that, the husband and wife sang a duet together, and those who came laughed and cheered.
At the last request of actor Aruldas, all the singers joined together and played the song “Mochakkotta Pallalagi” with loud clapping and whistling.
At the ceremony, the song “Nomadic Song” was released by Folk Marley Records.
Before the start of the festival, it was a very special experience to welcome the people who came to the festival with the performance of various folk artists such as Karakatam, Manattam, Mayilatam, Poikkal Kudirai, Puli game, Kavadi game, Kaliyattam, Karupusamy game, Drum game.
