Singer-composer Anthony Dasan has launched a new audio company for folk artists called ‘Folk Marley Records’.
Antony Dasan, known in South Tamil Nadu as a folk singer and a composer along with Rita.
Due to his hard work and dedication, Antony Dasan has earned a place for himself in cinema industry. He is successfully carrying on his artistic journey as a Karagattam artiste, folk singer, lyricist, music composer and actor!
With the objective of creating a platform for artistes who are not getting the right opportunities as he too went through that stage and struggled hard to reach such a position in his career, he has provided a platform for such aspiring artistes who look out for opportunities! With that in mind, he has Folk started Marley Records.
Aspiring singers, lyric writers, composers and those who know to handle musical instruments but still do not have the opportunities to showcase their talents can contact this company. The company will guide them and provide opportunities for them.
Songwriters can release their songs through Folk Marley Records.
The Inauguration Ceremony was held in Chennai yesterday.
Director Seenuramasamy, ‘Chinnakuyil’ Chitra, Music Director/ Singer Pradeep Kumar, Gana Bala, Malathi, Kidakuzhi Mariammal, Mahalingam, Andaikudi Ilayaraja, Aakkati Arumugam, Velmurugan etc were present on the occasion.
In his speech, Director Seenu Ramasamy said,
‘I appreciate this initiative of Anthony Dasan. It is a commendable gesture to launch such a company with the intention of uplifting artistes like him which means that he hadn’t forgotten the path he had walked.

As all the participants in the event were singers, they expressed their appreciation by singing songs!
