The soundtrack for the hit web series Vathanthi The Fable of Velonie, released on Amazon Prime Video, has been composed grandly and elegantly by composer Simon King, a local Tamil choir and a Budapest orchestra with a hundred musicians.

As never before in a crime thriller series, the soundtrack plays an important role. The soundtrack builds excitement for the twists and turns in the series and the unexpected twists and turns. Simon King, the composer of Prime Video’s original Tamil series ‘Vathanthi The Fable of Veloni’, has taken pride in composing the theme song to uniquely identify the series with the audience.

This song, which features at the beginning of the series, is sung by forty singers. Composer Simon King has brought together a hundred musicians from around the world to make this possible. He created it in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, with a local Tamil choir inspired by the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and the Budapest Music Group.

In this regard, composer Simon King also said, “We decided to set the soundtrack for the series ‘Rumour The Fable of Velony’ in the historic Budapest, Hungary. As we set out to arrange singers, musicians and songs, finding a choir was a challenge at first. Many voices were needed. They should be able to pronounce accurately and sing sweetly. Our lyricist K. Karthik used ancient Tamil literary texts to write lyrics in the oldest spoken Tamil dialect. As it goes back in time, many present-day Tamils will not recognize it. So in order to pronounce the words correctly, we started the task of detecting voices under the leadership of Chennai-based musician Augustine Paul. He identified and trained 47 voices. After that we recorded the vocals along with the western classical song along with the old Tamil speech case. As soon as the singers started singing, director Andrews and I realized we were heading in the right direction.

Following this was the challenge of selecting the instrumentalists and the band. When I went to Budapest in connection with this matter, I met my friend from Slovakia. With his help we decided to record the song with a band from Budapest, Hungary. It was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. I was so moved to see my music come alive in the arena where we recorded it. It was also a wonderful moment for me.”

Meanwhile, this is not just the launch song of a web series. It is noteworthy that Simon King created a unique background score for each of the characters in the web series, as well as a score for key moments in the plot.
