Almost all the movies of Vishal have their action quotient on a very high decibel and this flick too is no exception!
As ever Vishal scores well in the action sequences while keeping his spirits in tact in the romantic as well as in the emotional scenes!
Sunaina is adequate as his wife and sizzles in a scene or two!
Prabhu has a higher level cop asserts his style in a classy manner.
The theme is about a lower level cop who is a specialist in handling the Laththi and would extract the much needed information from those accused who remain tight lipped, thanks to the power of the Laththi that he uses in that task!
But should there be too many references about Laththi and its uses, just because the title is that-a point to ponder over!
At a wrong moment, Muruganandham’s (Vishal) official moves land him up in trouble and he is suspended.
He is ‘bailed’ out of the situation by a senior cop (Prabhu, looks stylish and sophisticated!) and eventually he joins duty only to get into big trouble again as he bashes up the son (Ramana) of a goon (Sunny) using his Laththi for a specific reason just to oblige a senior cop.
All hell breaks loose when the goons track him and thirst for revenge!
Muruganandam’s son becomes the bait now ..
The rest is all predictable and what follows further taking the screenplay forward is the action sequences breathtakingly choreographed and brilliantly executed action blocks that get monotonous after a point!
Yuvan Shankar Raja’s background score is noteworthy.
The interval block wherein Vishal is tracked by the villains owing to his ringtone is a fine segment of this flick!
