Actor Vishal said about his experience in #Lathi:
I have already played the role of a police officer. If there was such a character in this film, I would have said no. But, this is a constable character. A constable’s job is to carry out orders from higher authorities. It was also new to me while telling the story. Likewise, when director Vinod Kumar was narrating the story to me,
Hesitantly said that he is playing a father to a 7-year-old boy in the film. I have no problem with that, I said, you tell the story. The boy who acted in the film is like the second protagonist. The last 45 minutes should be shot at one location. Especially the scenes inside the unfinished building. It was a novelty to shoot 45 minutes of scenes in one place without losing interest. I really liked it. At first I was just casually listening to the story. But my body language changed as I listened. Usually a film has only one climax. But, this film will have four climaxes. The protagonist cannot do anything beyond this scene and the screenplay takes a U-turn from that moment when the film is thought to be over. I watched the film in its entirety just now after all the stage work was completed. Vinod knew three times more than he had said. I’m not saying this because it’s a film I acted in. Likewise, the two protagonists Peter Hein and Yuvan Shankar Raja from the back held the film up.
So, I am also happy to play the role of a constable. Constable has no personal life. They dedicate their entire life. They only sleep for three hours. If you do a medical examination for everyone, you will definitely have some problem like diabetes, blood pressure. I did not say this; The police said. I have acted keeping in mind how a father would express his feelings and emotions for his son. The film is about how an average man, when his family faces a problem, changes everything from his previous speech and becomes the hero to save him.
Sunaina was different from 2012, Sunaina is different now. He has acted beautifully.
Usually there are more sentimental mother-boy films. In this film, the sentimental scenes of father boy are present throughout the film.
Also, in my 18 years of cinematography I have never seen a stunt director as masterful as Peter Hein. He will see safety first. He will do his work with dedication. I see him after every scene.

I contacted Ramu sir to tell a story to Vijay during Corona period. Couldn’t then. But, I will definitely run with him in the future. I will run as a fan. I am writing a story for him like his favorite. Every now and then I write on the wall that it would be better if he was like this. If it is out, I will record the voice.
