Sundeep Kishan has come a long way since Logesh Kanagaraj’s Maanagaram who was also the debut vehicle of Lokesh Kanagaraj.
He plays the title role in this blood soaked action thriller wherein the word violence is spelt out in capital letters!
With his well chiseled physique, he has gone about his character with conviction carrying the right kind of expressions in the stunt as well as in the emotional sequences, as also in the romantic scenes where his eyes do the magic.
The pleasant presence of the heroine is certainly a plus to the proceedings.
After having lost his mother quite early in his life, little boy Michael grows up to blossom into a gruesome youth whose temper is always at its tip!
With a hidden agenda, he saves the life of a bigwig, Gurunath (Gautham Vasudeva Menon) once and soon joins his gang.
He grows up to become his trusted lieutenant much to the chagrin of the bigwig’s own son, Amarnath (Varun Sandesh)!
At one point, he is assigned with the task of tracking a person named Rathan (Anish Kuruvilla) who had ganged up with a couple of others to assassinate Gurunath. As a point of start, he is asked to get on to Rathan’s daughter, Theera (Divyasnsha Kaushik) with whom he falls in love!
These romantic portions have been handled interestingly by the director.
‘I slap before I kiss!’ says she! Good riddance!
On realizing that Michael has not carried out his instructions, Gurunath gets enraged and the rest is on predictable lines with the hunter taking position of the hunted, to be!
The guest appearance of Vijay Sethupathi and the sequences that follow in that connect are just passable. But Vijay Sethupathi makes his presence felt!
The climax packs a punch!
A treat for action lovers!
