Rating-***

Romantic boy Dulquer Salman has of late been donning the garb of a rugged boy since a couple of flicks and here again, he has turned into a full-fledged action hero and has executed himself quite effectively.

Kotha is a kind of gangster prone district characterized by some text book settings ruled by powerful bigwigs time and again.

Raju (Dulquer Salman) and Kannan (Shabeer Kallarakkal) are childhood friends and they run the racket well, though the helm is held by the former.

As always, one of them tries the pull a fast one while the other finds it out swiftly.

Cut to the present, a new cop (Prasanna) takes over and learns that it is all Kannan’s regime while Raju has left the district!

New issues crop up and the services of Raju is summoned as he returns with a big bang to settle scores.

From then on, it is all bloodshed and mayhem with violence all over the place!

Manoj Arakkal’s retro setting deserves mention; likewise, Nimish Ravi’s cinematography too warrants mention.

Jakes Bejoy’s music is impressive.

The running time could have been pruned a bit.
