India, May 3, 2024: ZEE5, India’s leading ODD video streaming platform and multilingual storyteller, today released the teaser of its much-anticipated Tamil series ‘Chief Secretariat’ – a poignant political thriller about the rigors of power. The series is produced by Radhan Mediaworks along with producer Radhika Sarathkumar. Starring Kishore, Shriya Reddy, Aditya Menon and Bharat in pivotal roles. Directed by National Award winning director Vasanthapalan. The series will be released in 8-episodes. It tells the story of a woman’s quest for power, full of ambition, betrayal and struggle against the backdrop of Tamil Nadu’s political arena. ‘Chief’s Secretariat’ will premiere on May 17 exclusively on ZEE5.
Set against the backdrop of Tamil Nadu’s political arena, Chief Minister Arunachalam faces a 15-year-old corruption case, which prompts those around him to aspire to the Chief Minister’s chair and start running for it. Meanwhile, in a remote mining village in Jharkhand, CBI officer Nawaz Khan investigates a two-decade-old murder case. In bustling Chennai, DGP Manikandan begins an investigation into a gruesome discovery of a severed arm and head found in the suburbs. The story weaves together many disparate events, shedding light on forgotten truths obscured by time.
