Director Vasantha Balan, a former deputy of K. Balachander, having embarked his career through Album, over 2 decades earlier, has bowed his debut on the OTT Platform through his web series that is set around the political arena of the South.
Kishore, Shriya Reddy, Bharath, Aditya Menon, Ramya Nambeesan, Santhana Bharathi and many others have played prominent roles.
Kishore is the Chief Minister of a State while his daughter, Ramya Nambeesan is supposedly his official heir to his throne!
Shriya Reddy plays Kottravai a self – made, self – styled politician ; so is Santhana Bharathi.
The scenes and sequences remind us of the politics in Tamilnadu & Andhra.
How those who aspire to acquire the post of the C. M. & how the others around move their coins while extending their patronage and support to whom they favor – all these aspects have been dealt with in detail.
Kishore is just too good for words. Shreya Reddy scores brilliantly.
Ramya Nambeesan is adequate.
Ghibran’s music deserves mention.
Vasanthabalan has gone about his task in a traditional manner which reflect more of a filmic style than that of a web series.
The script showcases a lot of twists and turns most of which are quite interesting and impressive.
