‘Samaaniyan’ will hit the 25th day in more than 10 theaters
Producer of ‘Samaaniyan’ introduced 50 percent fee concession for women on advice of Makkal Nayagan Ramarajan
During the eighties, actor Ramarajan emerged as the popular hero in Tamil cinema. He is also known as the Silver Jubilee hero because of his continuous hit films. Such a person has come back to meet his fans after a gap of almost 14 years with the recently released film ‘Samanian’.
Producer V. Mathiyazhagan and director R. Rakesh who have produced this film on behalf of Etchetra Entertainment have got the honor of bringing him back through ‘Samaaniyan’. Not only that, musician Ilayaraja, who was a pillar of success in Ramarajan’s films, has also made music for this film.
This film has been created as an awareness message that is needed in today’s society, so it is getting a good response from the people. Now-a-days films leave the theaters within two weeks of their release and the movie ‘Samanian’ is running towards the 25th day in many theaters with the excitement of the fans in the third week.
Producer V.Mathiyazhagan, who is happy and excited about this, says, “The movie ‘Samaaniyan’ is running in almost 10 theaters towards the 25th day. It is running at the Albert Theater in Chennai with good reception.
As Ramarajan has a lot of female fans, on his advice, ‘Etsetra Entertainment’ has introduced a 50 percent discount in many theaters.
2K kids also liked the movie. Otherwise, the film has received the welcome that Ramarajan always has in the suburbs. Ramarajan also went to many theaters in person and enjoyed watching the film with his fans. Ramarajan was amazed to see that even on the 21st day after the film’s release, fans watched his film with the same old enthusiasm. “Because the film is a real success, we have decided to celebrate its success on the 25th day instead of celebrating its success in two or three days,” he said.
Director R.Rakesh says, “Ramarajan’s films have received the same reception as they did before, but now his fans have not lost a bit. Especially in the cities south of Chennai, we can see that women come to the theaters eagerly. We could also see that fans came from many villages to watch the movie ‘Samanian’ even with tractors and bullock carts. I got the satisfaction of making a complete film when I heard Ramarajan’s fans from many places contacting me daily saying that you have brought our brother back to us.
In areas like Madurai, Tenkasi, Alankulam, Ramarajan went to theaters and enthused the fans by watching the film. We are celebrating our 25th anniversary soon. Not only that, we are confident that we will get a chance to celebrate the 50th anniversary as we have introduced the tariff concession,” he said.
Naxa Saran, Smriti Venkat and Aparnathy are playing the lead roles in this film written by Karthik Kumar. Radharavi, MS Bhaskar, KS Ravikumar, Leo Sivakumar, Rajarani Pandian, Maim Gopi, Bose Venkat, Vinothini and others have acted in the main roles. Arul Selvan has done the cinematography and Ram Gopi has done the editing. The stunts are designed by Mrittal Selva.
