Shruti Haasan said about this event, “It is an honor for me to honor my father’s life on screen. And I am proud to make that happen through music. I am thankful to my team who have been of great help in effectively combining, compiling and producing some of the hit songs from his films into a wonderful melody. It was even more fun to stage the event in front of the Chennai fans. I was overjoyed to see my father’s charming smile as I sang and danced on stage. It was his love and support that made me grow as a musician. I will stage many more musical events with my team,” he said.
Music composer and singer Anirudh Ravichander, director Shankar’s son Arjith and daughter Aditi staged music and dance events with Shruti Haasan on stage at the event.
The movie ‘Indian 2’ will hit the theaters on July 12th in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages. It is noteworthy that this film is a sequel to the 1996 film ‘Indian’. And the third part of the Indian film is expected to release later this year.
