Vijay Sethupathi who has had humble beginnings has risen to this level purely on the merit of his talent without even getting trapped in the halo light of the image-circle!
He has scored brilliantly in this tightly woven script, credit to the filmmaker and has come up with triumphs in a character that is multi-dimensional!
Natty as a cop looks tailor made for the role!
For a change, Singapuli, the director turned actor shines in his role without going overboard as he usually does!
Bharathiraja, Abhirami & Mamta Mohandas have been under utilised!
Sachana Nemidas as Jyothi stands out.
But the pick of the lot is Anurag Kashyap whose expressive eyes speak much more than his words from a borrowed voice!
The screenplay is multi-layered and it takes quite some time for the viewers to realise that this is a tale of vengeance!
While the first half moves about creating a platform of complexity, the latter half offers a twist in every single frame giving a jolt at every turn!
A well scored 50!
