After making a strong mark as director and actor in Tamil film industry, Cheran to debut as actor in Malayalam cinema
To act with Tovino Thomas in ‘Narivetta’, a new Malayalam movie to be directed by Anuraj Manohar
Cheran, who directed films including ‘Bharathi Kannamma’, ‘Porkaalam’, and ‘Vetri Kodi Kattu’ that garnered awards, accolades and box-office success, started his journey as an actor with ‘Autograph’ and continues to leave his imprint in acting.
And now, Cheran is all set to make his debut as an actor in Malayalam cinema as the next major milestone in his inspiring film journey.
Directed by Anuraj Manohar, who helmed the much-acclaimed Malayalam hit ‘Ishq’, the new film will star Cheran alongside leading Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas.
Notably, the film titled ‘Narivetta’ is Anuraj Manohar’s second directorial venture. The shooting will commence from July 26 onwards.
Excited about stepping into the Malayalam film industry, Cheran said, “It’s great to be acting in a Malayalam film for the first time. Anuraj Manohar’s story and my role in it really impressed me. It’s an extra joy to act with Tovino Thomas.”
