The director needs a story and the heroine needs flesh: Perarasu is the talk of the town at the ‘Park’ film event !

Singam Puli, the amazing director who sang at the ‘Park’ film event !

Crores are not important to make a film, but a good story is important: director RV Udayakumar talks!

Lion Nataraj on behalf of Akshaya Movie Makers. Produced by Nataraj and directed by EK Murugan, the music & trailer launch event of ‘Park’ was held in Chennai last evening.

Film directors RV Udayakumar, Perarasu, Singampuli and Saravana Subbaiah participated as special guests in the function.

While producer Lion Nataraj was speaking on the show,

“This director Murugan has been following me for decades. My relationship with cinema is as a fan, I have been enjoying cinema for 30 years. Otherwise I never thought anything about cinema.
When he approached me as a director I didn’t agree at first, but he followed me. One day he told me a short story. When he said that, I immediately said that I can do it.
He said that in the first half of the film, my stomach hurts from laughter, and in the second half, my chest hurts from fear. I liked it so I agreed to do the film.
We have finished shooting this film. Everyone has worked well,” he said

Co-producer speaks,

“After working as a school teacher and retired, I wanted to become a lyricist. I have written songs for two films earlier in this Murugan debut. This is the third film. In this, I have written a song with words suitable for the youth of our age of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp,” he said.

When director EK Murugan speaks,

“The producer gave me a chance not life with this film Park. Usually in horror films like this they use religious preachers to chase away the ghosts. I moved away from that and made it run through an ordinary person, a person on the road. That’s the strategy that attracted the producer.
First I made two short films with the producer which got him an income which was seen by lakhs of people. It was with that hope that he entered the film. After that, we took this film and here it is before you. The cooperation given by everyone for this film is unforgettable.”

Actress Shweta Dorothy says,

“After the recent release of Lantern, I am standing before you with the film Park. I am happy. The shooting experience of Park was an unforgettable experience. We request everyone to go to the cinema and watch the film and support it,” he said.

While Anbazhagan, president of the Small Film Producers Association, spoke,

“Usually people who have worked on the film say that the film is good. But even the censor script writer for this film said that the film is good. So there is a belief in the film. Now in the cinema they are spending crores of rupees, 400 crores, 200 crores to make a film. If they make 10 crores, they can make 50 films and make 50 directors.
Why not do that?”

When the protagonist Thaman Kumar speaks,

“Through this film, the producer who has made this film after this film will become a director. The director who has directed the film will become an actor. To that extent they are learning through this film. Director Murugan will act well. He has a good sense of comedy. It was a good experience for me to act in this film. A second. This film is released after the film, but I acted in both the films at the same time.
I can’t forget both roles. Everyone who worked in the film thought it was their own film and worked.
I believe that truth and honesty will always be respected. This film will win.”

When director RV Udayakumar speaks,

“When I watch some scenes of this movie Park, I feel jealous of the protagonist Thaman. They have taken many kissing scenes. When all the people who are older than me are playing the protagonist, I am the only one who is given the role of minister first minister. Now I also want to be the protagonist. People like Thaman, when I see the life of the protagonists. I also got that desire. The opportunity to act came when I was directing. My assistant directors stopped me because of jealousy.

You can make a film for as many crores as you want. It is their choice. But more than that it should have a good story and screenplay. What must be must be. I bought the east gate for one and a half crore, the small counter for two and a half crore, the master for four crore. So the crore is not the issue but what is the story in it.

They are struggling to get into cinema. Hardship brings experience. We must understand that experience is the foundation of our life. I also get a chance to write songs. All are item songs. All that comes today are lifeless songs. It is my experience that you can write good lines only if you are given a good cushion,” he said.

When director Pr

Perarasu speaks,

“Now all the directors have become actors. RV Udayakumar, Singam Puli, Saravana Subbiah who have come here are all acting.

The name of the song writer in this movie is Rasa. Looking at the song written by him, now he is Manmatha Rasa. He has written to that extent. The director talked to the producer about telling the story. We will all tell the story for two hours. He tells the story in two lines and convinces the producer.

I see Shweta, the heroine here. She is plump. Jyotika, Khushboo etc. are always there. Later they will be young Simran and Trisha. People like fat when it’s fat. This heroine Shweta is like that.

In cinema, the director needs a plot and the heroine needs fleshing out.

This second heroine spoke Kannada Bingli Tamil with aplomb. It was beautiful to hear. We are not afraid of language. “We celebrated Sarojadevi as Kannada Bingli. We will welcome you too,” he said

Director Singam Puli told the story of his previous struggles in cinema.

“I spent six months in a dark room developing film in a photo studio. I couldn’t see anything. They wouldn’t turn on the light, just a little red light. I didn’t even know where anything was.

We came to the cinema only after struggling like this. This kind of trouble is to be better later. This hero Taman earned a monthly salary of 4 lakh rupees in airlines abroad. He left all that and came to cinema.

Thaman is good and acting well. What is wrong with him? He has spent so much time on himself. Now it has benefits. Cinema will not abandon him. Because he loves cinema. Cinema gives opportunity to two people. It gives an opportunity to those who have thick hair that cannot be combed and those who have no hair on their head and have no way to comb their heads. I like to sing but when dubbing is going on, if I sing during the break, they don’t let go.”

Director Saravana Subbaiah, Ajay of the film’s distribution company Ajay Film Factory, Track Music Arogyaraj, High Court Advocate Vadivel, Music Director Amara, Cinematographer Pandyan Kuppan, Second Lead Neemare, Second Lead Surender, Villain Vijith Saravanan, Actor Black Bandy, were present at the event. Ranjani Nachiar, Siddha Darshan, actress Jayanthimala, lyricist K. Karthik and stunt master Hari Murugan were present.
