Vairamuthu gave wonderful lines for this. After writing this song, Vairamuthu said that it will be the anthem of the hill people. Accordingly, we asked Thenisai Theral Deva to sing this song so that it would leave an impression on the listeners and make them think that one of us is singing it. He also sang this song in a completely different style. We spent almost 110 days in Kodaikanal hills and shot this film. We can say that this film is our three years of penance.
