Each chess maestro was awarded an impressive sum of Rs. 40 lakhs as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
Adding another feather to its cap, Velammal Nexus was also bestowed with the prestigious “Best School Award” in Hungary, a moment of immense pride accepted by the Deputy Correspondent , Mr. Sriram Velmohan. This international recognition stands as a testament to the school’s outstanding contributions in the field of education and sports. In a remarkable gesture to promote the next generation of chess players, Velammal donated 1000 chess boards to Government schools and special children, laying the foundation for future chess wizards.
