‘K. Mu-K. Pi@ – college professor turns director with this film!

  • College Professor Pushpanathan Arumugam directed ‘K. Mu-K Pi

Produced and directed by Pushpanathan Arumugam on behalf of Flying Elephants Entertainment, the film ‘K. Mu-K Pi’ (before marriage – after marriage).

Pushpanathan Arumugam, who has directed 7 short films while working as a college professor, Kaval Deivam, a short film focusing on the issues of female police officers, has participated in 58 film festivals and won 26 awards in various categories. Not only that, Pushpanathan Arumugam, who has worked as an assistant director in films like Maharaja and Quotation Gang directed by director Nithilan, has also directed some commercial films.

Vignesh Ravi, who has acted in many films including Thanakaran and Master, is playing the lead role. Saranya Ravichandran has played the lead role. TSK (TSK) who played the lead role in the recently released Labar Bandhu, who is well known to fans through reality shows on Vijay TV including Shalappovatu Yaaru, will play the lead role in this film as well. Also Priyadarshini, Kabali Perumal and Aruvi Bala of small screen fame have played the lead roles.

GM Sundar has overseen the cinematography of the film. He is the disciple of Dinesh Purushothaman, the cinematographer of the films Maharaja and Labar Bandhu. Darshan Ravikumar, who has worked with music director Gibran, has composed the music for this film. Sivaraj Parameswaran, a student of Balu Mahendra, has done the editing.

Speaking about the film, director Pushpanathan Arumugam says, “When you fall in love, you don’t know each other’s flaws. Only plus knows. Attraction will also be high. But after marriage, their true qualities begin to show as they spend more time together. Economic and social reasons together will in some way cause the attraction between the two to decrease.

I have told this in a linear fashion. It will be a celebratory film that will give youngsters an insight into life. After watching the trailer of this film, directors Vethimaran and Aamir appreciated it. In particular, director Aamir made some corrections and said that he wanted such a film that can be watched with families in today’s environment.

The shooting of the film in and around Chennai has been completed and the post-production work towards the release is in full swing.

The upcoming film is being released worldwide by Lal Devasakayam and Cable Shankar under V & Tony International and Cable Shankar Entertainment.
