Although taking a certain period of time for each film, the next film to be released is ‘Black’, which is being produced by Potential Studios, which is producing films with the aim of providing only films with good quality, thought-provoking and entertaining aspects that are liked by the fans.

Directed by debutant director G. Balasubramani, Jeeva plays the lead role and Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the heroine. Vivek Prasanna and many others have acted in the lead roles. Sam CS has composed the music, Gokul has handled the recording and Philomin Raj has handled the cinematography.

The film will hit theaters on October 11. Following this, the crew of ‘Black’ met the journalists today and shared information about the film and their experiences.

When director Balasubramani speaks at this event,

“When the story was first told to producer SR Prakash through cinematographer PV Shankar, he seemed to have little interest in it. He also said that some aspects of the story are still needed. I came to think that maybe he is saying that to avoid us. But it was only when he called me ten days later and asked me again whether you have thought about what I asked and fix it, that’s when I realized that he was really interested in this story. I edited all the things he said and gave it to him as a script this time.
I was really surprised when he called me again and told me to sign the contract if you think he is going to make some more revisions. Thanks to PV Shankar for this help without expecting any kind of return.

Cinematographer Gokul has done a beautiful calculation for this film. The one person I said no to from the beginning was the film’s cinematographer Philomeen Raj. I have a cinematographer friend from my director days. Both of us were traveling together. I asked him to be the one. But at the last moment he too could not enter the film due to his own problems. Only then did Philomem Raj come into it. He and I have been fighting since day one. But it will be healthy. From time to time we had discussions and fights about the film.
By the end of the film, a friendship had developed between us.

Vivek Prasanna has worked with me since I was directing a short film during Tomorrow’s Director. In fact, when I shot a similar story in another version, he played a similar character in this version. I never had an argument with music director Sam CS against Philomin Raju. He would listen to whatever we had to say as if we could go to him and sit and talk for a while. He didn’t make me feel like a first-time director.

All the heroes who listen to this story will catch on in the beginning. But after a few days they will start asking some doubts and logics in it. They will start counting up to other state releases. But as far as Jiva sir is concerned, once he decides something he is firm on it. I thought he was saying he liked it like everyone else at the beginning. After that when it came to know that he is signing the contract for this film, it was clear that he definitely has that much faith in this story. Just as cinematographer Philomin Raju doesn’t like science fiction stories, so does Priya Bhavani Shankar. First he heard the story. Then he bought the script and read it. He said he did not understand. But he had faith in the producer Prabhu sir, so he agreed to this film,” he said.

While producer SR Prabhu speaks,

“Even before the release of this film, there were rumors that it was a remake of that film and a remake of this film. We have made almost 20 films. Even if there are many remakes, we always keep it as a principle that we should only do original stories with the people here. But for the first time, the rights of an English film have been formally acquired and this ‘Block’ film has been remade. I think we can talk about which English film it is after the release of the film. Bala (Balasubramani) was confident that he could film such a story beautifully in the very first film. After reading the script in that way, everyone liked it very much.

When such a debutant director comes in, we have an existing talent who has been working with us to bring this story beautifully to the audience, and who is comfortable with us and at the same time understands the thoughts and problems of a debutant director and acts accordingly.
We used the technical team in this film.

Cameraman Gokul who understood the challenges in the story and handled it beautifully, Art Director Satish Kumar who realized that if people want to understand the place where this story takes place, Art Director Satish Kumar worked hard to make this story reach the people without any confusion, Cinematographer Philomin Raj. , the music composer Sam CS who gave the background music which is a huge pillar for such thriller films, all the technical artists who worked in this film have given their full effort.

Director Bala has told this story to many people. On the other hand, we thought we’d give Jeeva a try. As he was looking for some lighter stories, we told him this story to give it a try. But contrary to what we expected, I really like this genre. He immediately agreed that I would do this. It’s great that he agreed to trust a new director with such a strong story.

Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar bought the script of this story and read it and immediately left saying that I don’t understand much, but I am trusting you. This film has come to the extent that his faith is not in vain. This movie will definitely not confuse the viewers. Everyone can understand this movie. But for those who come after watching the film, each of them will be able to relate to this story from every angle,” he said.

When hero Jiva speaks,

“When I was told the story of this film, I immediately got hooked. I think the reason is that after telling many heroes and making small changes in it beautifully, it comes to me as a complete story. Therefore, there is no need for any amendment or change in this. It is a mind twisting story. I think people will open their third eye when they see what is said in this film, right brain is left brain. Especially the youth will be very impressed by this film and will work on their brains. It can be called a psychological thriller. At some point, the viewers even doubt that this is a horror film.

Vivek Prasanna’s scenes are very important in this film. The answers to the questions that fans have about the film lie in his character. They said it was a remake of an English film. But I haven’t seen that movie yet. The reason is that we should not do anything unnecessarily thinking that we will improve something after looking at it. We mostly shot the film at night for almost two months.

Don’t make me look like an old man by talking about the fact that I have been in cinema for 21 years. In my first ten years I made a lot of films that were a little experimental. In that sense, it will be an innovative film among my upcoming films. I am generally a fan of thriller films. Bala has handled this story brilliantly. There are very few characters in the film. But they will keep the fans well entertained. When watching many films in theatres, the film is running on one side of the screen.. the fans’ cell phones are lit up. So that they don’t get distracted, even if they miss one scene, they will not know why this happened next, so this film will be a way to keep watching.

Editor Philomin Raju has two films releasing simultaneously with this film. I am curious to see how he would have interpreted this ‘black’ film. Knew Priya Bhavani Shankar from the time he interviewed me. Even on the sets, he used to fight with the director about how to speak this line. It was a pleasure working with him. Thanks to producer Prabhu for trusting me to give such a strong story when there are heroes like Suriya and Karthi on his side. I want to work with him in many more films like this,” he said.
