In today’s contemporary world, individuals often embark on their journeys to achieve various accomplishments in life. One person has dedicated their life to recognising and celebrating those who have succeeded through hard work, making it their mission to highlight these individuals in the public eye.
Indeed, in a world where individuals contemplate their future, Mr John Amalan has been reflecting on the importance of identifying and honouring achievers, alongside considering the welfare of others. He envisions a society that acknowledges individuals who have excelled not only in the film industry but also across various fields such as business, sports, politics, and medicine. To realise this dream, he established the organization INDIAN MEDIA WORKS, actively presenting awards under the banner of INDIAN AWARDS to honour those who have made significant contributions in diverse sectors.
The third season of the INDIAN AWARD, which takes place biennially, is scheduled for December 21 and 22, 2024. The event will be held at the ‘Lady Aandal’ auditorium in Chetpet, Chennai. Awards will be presented in 60 categories, recognising excellence in the film industry, including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Cinematographer, and Best Music Composer. Additionally, awards will be conferred in 30 categories across various fields such as politics, business, sports, medicine, education, military, and law enforcement.
Furthermore, in memory of the late actor and political leader Mr Vijayakanth, an award will be presented in his honour under the name ‘Captain Vijayakanth’ to those who have excelled in the film industry. Similarly, the 40-year career of Mr. Diamond Babu, who has served as a public relations officer in the film industry for the past four decades, will also be celebrated.
The Indian Media Works organization, which provides financial assistance to the families of military personnel who have served in the Indian Army and lost their lives, as well as to underprivileged children, conducts this work under the guidance of the Tamil Nadu government, in addition to awarding honours.
The prestigious Mr, Miss & Mrs Tamil Nadu 2024 – Season 4 beauty pageant will take place on the same stage and occasion of the INDIAN AWARDS 2024.
The company INDIAN MEDIA WORKS has successfully organised the ‘Indian Awards 2024’ event for the third consecutive year. Over the past three years, it has also been conducting the ‘Mr, Miss & Mrs Tamil Nadu’ beauty pageant with great success. Notably, Mr. John Amalan has transformed the perception that a South Indian company could not successfully host such beauty contests in North India through his organization. It is worth mentioning that he has held this beauty pageant twice on a luxury ship in Goa, drawing attention from across India.
Mr. John Amalan has distinguished himself in the media and entertainment industry by uniquely organising award ceremonies and beauty pageants through his visionary approach. He is now making his mark as a producer in the film industry. Significantly, he has established a production company named ‘Liona & Leo Pictures,’ through which he aims to produce a variety of high-quality and innovative films.
The launch event of this new production house ‘LIONA & LEO PICTURES’ symbolising the names of Lion and Lioness, happened today (November 25) at Prasad Lab, Saligramam in Chennai. The official announcement on the production house’s maiden venture will be officially revealed during the grand event of Indian Awards 2024, scheduled on December 21 & 22.
A selection committee consisting of five individuals from various fields such as cinema, industry, and politics has been established to choose the award recipients. The final list of nominees is determined based on public opinion, as well as critiques and comments that emerge on social media regarding the candidates.
The founder of ‘Indian Media Works’, Mr. John Amalan, who has been successfully organising entertainment events including award ceremonies, shared his thoughts on entering the film industry as a producer. He stated, “While I was still in college, I envisioned the need to honor film personalities and achievers from various fields with awards. My aspiration was to establish a company that would recognise them on a grand scale. I particularly wished to present an award to actor Vijay, as I have been a devoted fan of his. This ambition became a personal goal for me. After completing my college education, my passion led me to pursue this industry as my future. Consequently, I founded ‘Indian Media Works’ to realise this vision.
I am now stepping into the film industry as a producer, in addition to my previous roles in award ceremonies and beauty pageants. I will be producing films under the banner of ‘LIONA & LEO Pictures.’ Our aim is to provide opportunities to talented directors, actors, actresses, and technical artists from all backgrounds. Furthermore, the films we produce will be characterised by top-notch quality and uniqueness, all while maintaining a low investment.
We are currently engaged in the selection of a story for our maiden production. Our first movie will not only be an entertaining piece suitable for audiences of all ages, from children to adults, but it will also serve as a film that connects with viewers across different age groups. We will making other announcements pertaining to this project during the Indian Awards 2024 event.”
When asked about his desire to honour actor Vijay, who is now bidding adieu to the film industry due to his embarkation of political journey, producer Mr. John Amalan sums up adding, “Actor Vijay sir may have entered politics, but my admiration for him remains unchanged. I had always wished to see him receive awards during his acting career, and that aspiration has motivated my journey in this field. Similarly, even if he is not currently in the film industry, I believe that in the future, I will have the opportunity to present him with an award as an outstanding political leader. Both my organization and I will work diligently to help him reach that level of achievement.”
