Showcased successfully at the 55th International Film Festival of India held recently to a thunderous applause, this Tamil dubbed Telugu flick is a breezy tale that delivers dictates, of course, not in a dictatorial manner, not only to children of impressionable ages, parents regarding parenting but also to teachers about imparting education to children at lower classes in an equitable and impartial manner!
The protagonist is in fact in a small boy whose inquisitiveness is irritating not only to many but also to his teachers, especially to his new math teacher.
While his dad is very understanding and even says if we discourage children from asking questions just because we don’t know the answers, then they will stop asking questions and they will never ever try to learn by asking questions!
An excellent explanation!
The boy never ever will accept anything unless and otherwise, he is logically and rationally convinced!
He refuses to accept Zero as a concept while his teachers are also unable to give him a satisfactory explanation and hence call him a Zero!
His Mom (Nivetha Thomas, too good for words depicting a mother of two in a Brahminical backdrop) is a 10th fail but when her son is pushed to a tight corner, she pushes herself too and starts studying herself while teaching her son too!
Both emerge triumphant too at the end!
A movie that offers both entertainment and education to children, parents and teachers as well!
