AVM is not merely a banner but a Brand!
It was the same AVM Productions that bankrolled Andha Naal (1954) which showcased thespian Sivaji Ganesan in a different shade and it was possibly the first film at Kollywood that had no songs!
This new Andha Naal (2024) has two connections with the brand, AVM!
Firstly, it carries the same title!
Secondly, it is the launch pad of Aryan Shyam who belongs to the family!
For a beginner, Aryan Shyam passes muster with his height, personality and performance as well!
Welcome to Kollywood, Aryan!
As a bold step, he has also chosen an offbeat theme for his debut and has also assumed responsibility for its creativity, content-wise!
With the right kind of brooming, he can certainly go places with some honing of skills!
The theme deliberates on human sacrifice practised by a sect of people who function as a family consisting of a dad and his three foster sons!
Aryan Shyam is a filmmaker who takes his creative team to a remote farm house in the outskirts of Chennai for script reading.
A couple of mysterious happenings there in the dark of the night and the team runs about here and there to save their lives. To their utter shock, not one but two killers are on the loose who are behind them!
The further turn of events takes the audience on a horror ride with a final twist on Aryan Shyam ‘s characterization! An unexpected twist, rather!
Certainly, worth a watch…
