The “XXI Chennai District Masters Athletic Championship 2024” athletics competition for men and women above 30 years of age organized by the Chennai District Senior Athletics Association was held at the Chennai Nehru Sports Stadium (Outdoor Stadium)
The competition was held as per the decision taken by the President of the Chennai District Senior Athletics Association, Mr. M. Senbagamoorthy, Secretary Mrs. Rukmani, Treasurer Mrs. Sasikala and other committee members.
Mr. Meganatha Reddy IAS inaugurated the first day of the competition (December 8, 2024) with special guests actor-director SJ Surya, actor Soori, actor Siddharth, Red Giant Movies co-producer R. Arjun Durai, Lyca Productions CEO GKM Tamilkumaran, Dr. R Anand Kumar IAS, producer Samuel Mathew, and businessman Suryaprakash participating and presenting prizes to the winners and graced the occasion.

Mr. M. Senbagamoorthy came first in the 100m men’s race for 60+ age group in 13.2 seconds
