A duet is something that is played between the lead pair in exotic locales backed by foot tapping music.
Here is a duet that involves not only the lead pair but its USP is that it has shot at the backdrop of rivers with description of the name of the rivers and the place too!
A first of its kind at Kollywood, the effort and execution definitely deserving appreciation.
The screenplay too has a noble connotation – it talks in detail about folk arts the proud art form of Tamilnadu.
The script is set around Pandi (Madichayam Pandian) a folk artiste who performs with his troupe anywhere and everywhere.
While Sakku (Kadhal Sugumar) is his trusted lieutenant, Raasaathi (Durga) is also a main part of the troupe.
Enters Dhanam(Deepthi Raj) who holds the torch for Pandi and at his instance she joins his troupe much to the displeasure of Dharmalingam (Andrews) who has some shady plans for her!
But in reality Dhanam is the heiress to a fortune owned by a man who had ditched her mom.
But here is a twist when Dhanam declares that Raasaathi is heiress!
The film ends on a happy note with Raasaathi opening a home for those orphans in the society.

A noble gesture that provides good for thought!

The team deserves a pat for their venture that is socially very significant given the situation wherein the age old art form is no more patronized!
An appreciable effort by the team and the director needs to be commended for presenting the film in an informative as well as entertaining manner. The main cast has delivered a powerful performance.
