‘Thirukkural’ movie
Musician Ilayaraja has written and composed the songs for the film “Thirukkural”.
‘Ramana Communications’, which produced the life story of Perunthalaivar Kamaraj as a film under the name ‘Kamaraj’, has now produced the film ‘Thirukkural’ on a grand scale.
Thirukkural is a book that is leading the world in teaching humanity about the moral life. The screenplay for the film has been written with the three pillars of Thirukkural as the central theme.
Thiruvalluvar also appears as a character in the film in an attempt to find the creator through creation. Along with Vasuki, the life of Tamils two thousand years ago plays an important part in this film.
Along with love, bravery is inseparable from the life of Tamils. The battlefield scenes that showcase the bravery of the Tamils of that day have also been filmed at great expense.
After seeing this film, the composer Ilayaraja immediately agreed to compose the music. He has also written two songs for the film, which are very poetic and meaningful, with words from Sangam literature.
It is a wonderful event in the history of Tamil for a great work for the first Tamil language, composed by a composer who is on the throne of the second Tamil language, to compose the music for this great work for the first Tamil language.
It was only after G.U. Pope translated it into English that Thirukkural attracted the attention of scholars worldwide. Similarly, after this event, this Thirukkural film will definitely attract the attention of the people of the world internationally.
The film stars Kalaichochol as Valluvar, Thanalakshmi as Vasuki, O.A.K. Sundar as the Pandya king, director Subramania Siva as Nakkir, and poet Perunthalaichathan as Kottachi, along with Gunababu, Padini Kumar and many other prominent actors and actresses.
Suresh Kaleri has worked as the art director of the film and Suresh Kumar as the costume designer. Sempur.K. Jayaraj has written the story, screenplay and dialogues, while Edwin Sakai has handled the cinematography.
Madurai D.P. Rajendran has made a major contribution to this team. Tamiliyakkam led by V.I.T. Vender Go. Viswanathan has also joined this project. Ramana Communications has produced this film.
