Pa.Ranjith’s Margazhiyil Makkasisai program is an important cultural initiative – Vijay Sethupathi
The Margazhiyil Makkalisai program, organized by Director Pa.Ranjith’s Neelam Cultural Center, is held every year in the month of Margazhi.
For the fifth year, the program for the year 2024 was held on December 27, 28, and 29 at the Mylapore Santhome School in Chennai.
More than five hundred artists participated in this event, including many artists who had not been on stage.
Many various political leaders and social activists came to the program and participated. On the closing day, actor Vijay Sethupathi attended and presented the Makkalisai Mamani awards to both teacher Chellamuthu and Rajarani dancer Muppili.
Thank you very much for inviting me to such a folk music program. It is a matter of great pride to take care of neglected artists and give them a platform. Thanks and appreciation to director Pa.
