There was a movie from the past by Visu that dealt with the risks involved with holding the marriage reception on the previous evening while the Muhurtham stands scheduled the next morning.
Likewise, this flick, from the maker of Rangoli, which talks about the risks involved in the bride and bridegroom meeting just a day or a couple of hours prior to the wedding!
This exactly is the premise upon which the screenplay has been built paving way for a lot of twists and turns as an outcome of a freak accident in which the bridegroom rushes to meet the bride a few hours before the wedding!
While the film’s first half moves at a steady pace with predictable reactions and responses from the characters some of which have underwritten the second half packs with a suspense element hidden underneath that gets carried on with a lot of fuss till the closing scenes but to no great avail!
Shane Nigam is passable while Kalaiyarasan is full of action!
But for her dance moments in that remixed, sensuous number. Niharika fails to create a flutter!
Aishwarya Dutta impresses with her deglamourized appearance.
The title is a misnomer as the proceedings hold not much of a relevance to it!
