Kollywood has certainly come of age! Subjects and allied scripts that were deemed as taboos have found their space in films and fresh filmmakers have managed to breathe a whiff of fresh air in a free atmosphere!
Here is a filmmaker who has dated to deliberate on a delicate subject in a dignified manner!
Men have no place in our world and it is a life to be lived amidst the both of us – says Nandini, a senior between them both while meeting Sam’s parents in the process of discussing their ‘love’ (Nandini and Sam)! Notwithstanding the fact that it is a proposed wedding between two girls, the mom of Sam(Rohini) bursts out and is being joined by her husband who had left his wife and daughter behind for another woman (on filmsy grounds!)
While they end up on a dead end with the girls remaining firm, the film wraps up as they run on the beach breathing fresh air ; the other girls who are in similar situations being masked partially, meaning, they haven’t yet been liberated like these two!
The conversation between the mom and daughter with rain as the backdrop is noteworthy!
It is a take away for such individuals who go ahead with what they feel right while the parents’ concerned, end up cutting a sorry figure in the eyes of their families and the society as well!
If we want to know what is happening in society these days, especially with the younger and impressionable generation, go, watch this flick!
