The much awaited big budget flick carrying a casting coup of big stars is rich in production values, costumes, cinematography but the same cannot be said of the editing as it would only be fair to say that the editor has been a bit too liberal with respect to the film’s length!
Politicians use religion to divide people so that they harbor enmity amidst themselves – this is basically the crux of the plot narrated in a route that is rather round about!
Syed who had witnessed the cold blooded murders of his dad and other kith and kin, escapes from their brutal hands and later joins forces with Stephen alias Kureshi Abram (Mohanlal), grows up as his trusted lieutenant, the master mind behind being Balraj Patel alias Bajrangi – Abhimanyu Singh). How they both wreck vengeance on Balraj is the lengthy rest.
Well, that is not all!
Priyadarshini (Manju Warrier) and Jetin(Tovino Thomas) are both children of P. K. Ram Das (Sachin Khedejar). While the former is a crusader for justice, following the footsteps of her dad, the latter, the current C. M., has his own agendas!
After a long, strenuous and prolonged battle between all, Balraj is killed by Syed while Abram takes care of the rest.
The screenplay could have been more water tight and the distracting deviations on the form of several parallel tracks are indeed cumbersome.
Watch worthy for the action content as well for the sake of the magnitude of the production.
