A large number of film personalities participated in the felicitation ceremony of poet Mr. Muthulingam jointly organized by the South Indian Film Writers Association and Mylapore Ganapathi’s Butter & Ghee!

Muthulingam’s Book Release

The felicitation ceremony of poet Mr. Muthulingam jointly organized by the South Indian Film Writers Association and Mylapore Ganapathi’s Butter & Ghee was held in Chennai with great fanfare. A large number of film personalities including prominent personalities from various fields participated in the event.

The event titled Muthuku Muthana Vizha saw the release of the book Muthulingam ‘s Book The first copy of the book was received by Saidai Duraisamy, former mayor of Chennai and chairman of the Humanity Foundation, to be released by actor Sivakumar.

The second edition of the book, “Kaatrukkul Vidaitha Karuthu”, was also released at the event. Industrialist Nalli Kuppusamy Chettiar received the first copy of the book. VIT University Chancellor K. Viswanathan received the first copy.

The felicitation ceremony for poet Muthulingam was presided over by K. Bhagyaraj, president, South Indian Film Writers’ Association; RK Selvamani, president, South Indian Film Workers’ Association; T. Siva, general secretary, Tamil Film Current Producers’ Association; and Karunas, vice president, South Indian Actors’ Association. Bhagyaraj honored poet Muthulingam with a ring.

Thamizh Thai Vazhthu was sung by Liaquat Ali Khan, General Secretary, South Indian Film Writers Association, who delivered the welcome address. Actresses Poornima Bhagyaraj, Kutty Padmini, Rohini, Devayani Rajakumaran, writer Andal Priyadarshini and others inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp.

A short film on poet Muthulingam was screened at the event and received appreciation from all.
