Middle-class men opting to take the short cut route to earn a fast buck and resorting to daylight robbery, the modus operandi being snatching gold chains from middle-class women walking on the road was the crux of the plot in Metro (2016) that catapulted Sirish to fame!
Sathya who played Sirish’s younger brother who steals chain from his own Mom was the talking point of that flick and the same actor, Sathya dons the lead as a chain snatcher here too and the climax too there is one such shocking and rocking sequence but with a reversal of roles!
Sathya fits the lead character like a T going about his role in a befitting manner! His stone cold expressions and cold blooded attitude facilitate him to carry on with the character precisely and perfectly!
He steals most of the frames in the film and appears quite natural with his expressions.
Surprisingly here, Deepa Shankar who has a tendency to go overboard, plays it subtly while rising to the occasion, rather, very effectively, in the climax that truly packs a punch!
Known for his knack for recording a subdued performance with a soft spoken demeanor , Jayaprakash raises his voice here and emoting aggressively, rather an exception to his image in films!
Senrayan tries to be menacing but ends it up on a trial basis!
Danil Annie Pop fails to fit into the scheme of things.
Johan Shivanesh’s background score is brilliant.
N S Uthayakumar’s camera has captured the plight and predicament of the victims well, upping the emotional quotient!
Kavitha and Ananda Krishnan have bankrolled the movie.
