Gentleman-II Movie Launch Highlights!
Mega Producer K.T. Kunjumon had hosted a grand event of ‘Gentleman-II’ Movie Launch and Felicitation Ceremony of Oscar winner MM Keeravani today (August 19, 2023) at Rajah Muthiah Hall at Egmore, Chennai.

Arifur Rahman, South Indian film chamber President Ravi Kottara Kara, filmmakers RV Udhaya Kumar, P. Vasu, Kathir, Music Director Dheena, Nanjil Sampath, Actresses Sithara, Sathya Priya, Sri Ranjani, Viji Chandrashekar, Kutty Padmini, Ganesh, Harathi Ganesh and many others took part in this occasion.

Producer K.T. Kunjumon handed over the script and Clapboard to A. Gokul Krishna, director of this film.
Music Director MM Keeravani was honoured and felicitated with grand garland for bringing honour to the Indian Cinema with his academy awards.
3 Winners of the ‘Predict the Music Director of Gentleman-II’ were gifted ‘Gold Coins’ by MM Keeravani. While one among them couldn’t make it to the occasion due to some issues, the makers have promised to gift it to they individual while shooting in Hyderabad.
Here are some of the excerpts form this occasion.
“I am emotionally glad to see many eminent personalities from the industry wishing the grand success of my upcoming film ‘Gentleman 2’. We started working on this project even before the Lockdown of Corona. Myself and director Senthamizhan scripted this project. Usually, I choose and form the team according to the script and its requirements. I have always ritually followed this agenda. If everyone is Gentleman, then there are no issues at all, and this story speaks about this topic with entertaining elements. When I gave the advance money to MM Keeravani and Vairamuthu, both of them, returned it back instantly. My guru GV has been my mentor in escalating my career, but he committed suicide unable to meet the challenges and pressures. Suicide isn’t the solution to all the problems. Everyone who have gathered here have come to see me succeed again.
I have made 4 films with AR Rahman and worked with Shankar in a couple of movies. I have distributed more than 100 movies, and later became producer. Hence, I know the recipe of a successful movie. We have to be very careful in making good movies, and ensure that audiences don’t incur loss. I have always followed the principle of encouraging young actors and technicians. Icons like A.R. Rahman, Shankar and Kathir were given opportunities in the same manner.
M.M. Keeravani has been the main reason behind kick-starting the project of ‘Gentleman 2’. When I approached him for this project, he gave a nod instantly, without even asking about who the hero, heroine and any details about this movie. He openly admitted that he is doing this project for the sake of Kunjumon sir. There is one particular song in this movie, which will grab the attention of the UNO, and I am ready to spend even 8Cr to picture it.”
Lyricist Vairamuthu said, “K.T. Kunjumon doesn’t use land, gold or money as the investment, but his confidence. He has proved his success and proficiency across the span of 33 years. I have never seen any producer going through hardships and facing challenges like him in the industry for all these years. Any other person experiencing the excruciating pain like him would have either become a hermit or politician. But Kunjumon has struck back with confidence again to make movies again.” He continued to add, “He has achieved success for a generation, and is now gearing up for the success of his next phase and the title of this movie ‘Gentleman 2’ is an illustration to it. When K Balachander wanted to introduce a new music director, it was SP Balasubramaniam who directed us towards a new music director Maragadha Mani, who is now the most-acclaimed music director MM Keeravani. His music keeps escalating with every project, and I am sure, he is going to win Oscars again for this movie.”
Music Director MM Keeravani said, “I have a strong bonding with Tamil Nadu. I was conceived by my mother when father was working herein Chennai. We had to later shift to Hyderabad due to father’s transfer in work. There is a Tamil soul in my Telugu body. I resided in Chennai for nearly 22 years. Later, an amendment was implemented that technicians should work for Telugu movies from Hyderabad, which gave me no option, but to shift Hyderabad. I thank K.T. Kunjumon sir for bringing me back to Tamil lands. I feel blessed to experience the magic of lyrics written by lyricists Kannadasan, Vaali, and Vairamuthu. Even now, listening to the songs of Vaaname Ellai diminishes my anxiety and depression. I am glad to be working with the same lyricist Vairamuthu again for this movie. KT Kunjumon sir is like a police officer, and I always surrender to him.”
Chetan Seenu is playing the lead role in this movie with Nayanthara Chakravarthy performing the female lead character. The others in the star cast include Sudha Rani, Priya Lal, Suman, Sri Ranjani, Sithara, Sathya Priya, Kaali Venkat, Munish Raj, Badava Gopi, Prem Kumar and many more prominent actors are playing important roles in this movie.
