’Margazhi Thingal’ trailer and audio launch event highlights
Actor Manoj Bharathiraja is making his debut as a director through ‘Margazhi Thingal’ bankrolled by Director Suseenthiran’s Vennila Productions. While ‘Iyakkunar Imayam’ Bharathiraja plays a very important role, the film has newcomers Shyam Selvan, Rakshana, and Naksha Saran in lead characters.
Bharathiraja and music maestro Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja have teamed up after 31 years for this film. The trailer and audio launch event of ‘Margazhi Thingal’ was held in Chennai on Wednesday. Here are the highlights:

After 18 years of struggle I am now a director. I had narrated many stories to Suseenthiran sir. Suddenly one day he called me and said ‘You should make a film’. After that the shooting started in 15 days. I am honoured to have Ilaiyaraaja and Bharathiraja teaming up in my first film. The protagonist Shyam has acted well. Rakshana and all have contributed wonderfully. This movie has taken shape well. Everyone should watch it. Thanks to my wife and children who have been with me in my troubles.
