From Pushkar-Gayathri to Sudha Kongara – Prime Video’s Tamil Horror Series The Village Wins over Audiences at the Special Screening held in Chennai
Last evening, Prime Video hosted a special screening of its highly anticipated Tamil horror original, The Village in Chennai. Along with the cast and creators of the series, the evening was also attended by a host of popular faces from the Tamil film and Television industry who wholeheartedly expressed their appreciation, love and support for this gripping horror series.
Filmmakers Pushkar-Gayathri were left intrigued by the concept. The director duo who watched the first 3 episodes said, “we’ve watched the first three episodes of The Village and it is a very interesting concept. With all episodes now on Prime Video, we’re eager to watch the remaining, which is the best thing we can say about it!” while Director Sudha Kongara shared a fun anecdote about series director Milind Rau, “I know Milind loves horror and he watches horror films in the middle of the night only! I know he will kill it!”
Actor Sibi Sathyaraj said, “The series is a binge worthy one. Milind’s first film Aval was a trend-setter in horror. I believe all of you will enjoy watching this series.” Actor and Singer Vijay Yesudas praised Milind’s remarkable work stating, “To pull this storyline in 6 episodes is not an easy thing and Milind has done that really well. My best wishes to the entire team.” Producer G Dhananjayan said, “The Village is a new-age, out-of-this-world experience. Congratulations to Prime Video for bringing something so unique on OTT.”
The premiere was attended by the cast and crew of the show, along with celebrities like Pushkar-Gayathri, Sudha Kongara, Andrew Louis, Karthik Subbaraj, Sibi Sathyaraj, Director Priya, Vijay Yesudas, Kumaran Thangarajan, Charukesh Sekar among others.
