Tamil cinema warmly embraces a creator who takes on multiple responsibilities in a film and executes it effectively. Trying to identify himself as such an artist, Sarath is making his debut with the film ‘Terakthi Veeran’.
On behalf of Chandrababu Film Factory film company, the debut hero Sarath wrote the story, screenplay, dialogues, songs, directed, produced and debuted as the hero in the film ‘Therkatti Veeran’. ‘Muruga’ Ashok, ‘Nadodigal’ Bharani and ‘Mari’ Vinod are playing Sarath’s friends in the film. Vela Ramamurthy has played the hero’s father. Also Madhusudhanan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Pawan, RNR Manohar, Namo Narayana, Rajasimman, Aryan, Renuka, Uma Padmanabhan have acted in the film.
Srikanth Deva has composed music for the film and has acted in a song sequence. Editing by VJ Sabu Joseph for cinematography by N. Shanmukha Sundaram. Gururaj oversees the artistic direction, while Bharati and Sandhi choreograph. Fight training: Super Subpurayan – Kanalkannan.
When asked about the film, Sarath, the hero and director of the film, said, “The story of ‘Therkathi Veeran’ is a compilation of some incidents that take place in Thoothukudi. My hometown is Thoothukudi. I have filmed the actual incident that happened there. 5 Villains The enmity between four friends and the resulting conflicts as a love woven into it, the screenplay keeps the pace high and the anticipation of what will happen next. The film features 8 fights and 5 songs. Deva sir has sung the opening song after a long time in the music of Srikanth Deva. Sandi Master choreographed beautifully in this song scene shot at Tuticorin Harbour. The action-packed fight scenes will be a treat for action lovers,” he said.
What is your previous film experience?
“This is my first film. I have never been an assistant director to anyone. Cinema is my spiritual guru. Besides, I am the grandson of Chandrababu, who is still celebrated by Tamil cinema. His blood is also in me which is why I come to cinema. I hope ‘Southern Veeran’ will attract fans.”
Talking about the film, Ashok, who plays the hero’s friend, said, “At first I hesitated whether I would be able to play such a character as the hero. But Sarath liked the story and the way he narrated it to me, so I agreed to act. Sarath has all the skills like DR. This film will also be an important film for me.” said.
When asked music director Srikanth Deva, “Working on multiple responsibilities in a film is challenging. Although Sarath is new to cinema, he has directed this film like an experienced director. The song “Kadalamma..” sung by my father in my music was great. The director asked me to play the villain in this film. He made me act in the song “Kadalamma” even though I refused.
