Vijay Sethupathi’s previous outing as a cop was in Sethupathi (2016) that was scripted and directed by S.U. Arun Kumar which was eventually a better product both by way of content, presentation and performance!
In the initial portions, Anukreethy scores well as a naughty and mischievous girl but as the screenplay unfolds, she gets lost in the proceedings.
Vijay Sethupathi plays the son of a flower vendor who is rated and regarded high in that neighborhood of Dindugal.
Prabhakar is a local bigwig who is very influential and exercises a tight leash over there.
Trouble surfaces with Prabhakar bashes up a group of friends of Vijay Sethupathi when they land up there to attend Vijay Sethupathi’s sister’s wedding!
From then on, the script reduces to a meagre revenge drama with the protagonist becoming a cop in typical cinematic style within a short span of time, manages to get poste there as DSP and the rest is anybody’s guess!
The film’s tempo follows a moderate flow failing to sustain the interest of the viewers.
