Most of the films of actor Vijay, most of them in the recent times have showcased him of being in possession of a larger than life image, a savior of the society, that too, as an one man army who can take an army of henchmen, all alone and all by himself! This ‘meal’ too has been made on a similar palate but he stands tall as the sole savior of his large family comprising of his two married brothers with their respective children and heading the family is his father (a dignified portrayal by Sarath Kumar!) and his wife (Jayasudha, age seems to have taken its toll!). Yogi Babu is the trusted servant of this joint family whose presence facilitates the protagonist to come up with some lighter moments!

The screenplay is a consolidation of all possible elements of entertainment that usually go Vijay’s movies with a special focus on the family. Shaam and Srikanth are just passable as they both pale into insignificance in the presence of Vijay, the youngest of the three! Also, it appears that they both have been projected in shady light to ensure that the focus light falls fully on Vijay!

Vijay comes up with his best in the dance sequences and his foot work is indeed a delight to watch! He manages to wade through the emotional scenes which is by and large convincing! But his comic way of handling serious situations proves a dampener in a scene or two-his canvassing for the vote of the Board of Directors, for instance! The climax too could have been conceived and crafted better as it turns a bit melodramatic!

Rashmika Mandanna’s presence and performance leaves much to be desired and has no specific significance to the screenplay, excepting to keep company with Vijay in the song and dance routine!

Prakashraj’s performance is oft repeated and hence does not exactly create a flutter.

S.J.Surya’s cameo doesn’t help much but he still manages to make a mark!

Rajendran (Sarath Kumar} is a business tycoon who runs a mammoth business empire. Both his first son, Jay (Srikanth) and second son, Ajay (Shaam) are ambitious about stepping into their dad’s shoes and hence work towards that agenda, seperately!

The third son, Vijay (Vijay) has different ideas which forces him to differ from his dad and eventually he leaves home only to return years later, at the instance of his mom (Jayasudha).

Problems crop up within the family and the rest of the narration is about how Vijay resolves everything in a heroic manner.

Thaman S.S.’s music is upbeat and Vijay’s steps sync well with his tunes.

A Pongal treat for Vijay’s fans!
