The 4th edition of Margazhiyil Makkalisai is around the corner. Hosur and KGF cities are prepping for the magnificence. Spearhead in the year 2020, by filmmaker Pa Ranjith, the Neelam Cultural Centre has been organising Margizhiyil Makkalisai every December. The event featuring hundreds of folk artists and art forms, has attracted the attention ample attention in the past with 15000 spectators. The event has been graced by members of the Tamil film fraternity, social activists, political leaders and social movement figures. Aside from staging the art, the event has also honoured artists with the ‘Makkalisai Mahamani’ award. Margizhiyil Makkalisai 2023 will be organised in 3 cities over five days. The launch of the musical magnificence will take place on the 23rd of December at Kolar Golf Fields and on the 24th of December 2023 at Hosur. These days will feature the genres of Gaana, Rap, Oppari and the performance by the bands – Arivu and Ambassa and Black Boys.
