Merry Christmas is an upcoming film directed by Bollywood director Sriram Raghavan. It stars ‘Makal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, Radhika Apte, Radhika Sarathkumar, Sanmukharajan, Gavin Babu and others. Madhu Neelakandan has done the cinematography for this movie and Pritham has composed the music. The film is being produced in Tamil and Hindi languages by producers Ramesh Daurani, Sanjay Routhrey, Jaya Daurani and Keval Garg on behalf of Tipps Films and Matchbox Pictures.The movie is releasing on January 12.A press conference was held in Chennai regarding this. Vijay Sethupathi, director Sriram Raghavan, anchor Pooja Latha Shruti, actress Katrina Kaif, actor Sanmukharajan, actor Gavin Babu, lyricist Yugabharathi and playback singer Deepa Venkat were present on the occasion.Director Sriram Raghavan speaking on the occasion said, “When I started this film, I only thought that I would make it only in Hindi and introduce Vijay Sethupathi in Hindi. I had the idea and dream of directing a Tamil film even in Mumbai. Why shouldn’t it be this film..! I thought that. There was also a plan to sometime direct a Tamil film with Vijay Sethupathi. It was during the covid period when the film was started. During that period I met my friend director Thiagarajan Kumaraja. We met and talked even when he was in Mumbai. Can this story be made in Tamil too..! he asked. To that I said that I have no personality for Tamil language. He introduced the writers by saying that he would help. After that we planned to make it in both Tamil and Hindi languages. As per the plan, we worked hard and made the film in Tamil and Hindi.I have also seen many Tamil films. After that came some hope.After that met him..talked..sat in his office and discussed many things.. during all meetings he gave me a lot of freedom as an actor. He will be comfortable hiring us on the set. All the minutes spent with him will be natural.
