ZEE5, India’s largest leading video streaming platform and multilingual storyteller, has announced that Kannada blockbuster action film “Kattera” will have its world digital premiere on February 9. The film will be accessible to all Kannada language audiences and will be presented to a wide audience. “Kattera” opened in theaters and has been a blockbuster hit, garnering rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Released exclusively in Kannada, the film not only received overwhelming response from the audience but also set a record of 100+ crores at the box office. The biggest blockbuster Kannada film of the year will be available on ZEE5 in Kannada from February 9.
Set in the 1970s, the film narrates the extraordinary journey of Darshan a skilled gunsmith, who undertakes a formidable task to help farmers implement the Land Reforms Act, which entitles them to the right to do so. As a single man Katera (Darshan) faces many challenges in his quest to bring about essential social change. Set against the backdrop of agrarian struggles, the film tells the story of people struggling to change their lives with touching resilience. Produced by Rockline Venkatesh, the film is directed by Tarun Sudhir. The film stars multi-starrer Darshan Thookudeepa and debutant Aaradhana Ram in lead roles, along with Jagapathi Babu, Kumar Govind, Vinod Kumar Alva, Danish Akhtar Saifi and Shruti in pivotal roles.
