While the Malayalam film industry is churning out unusual and unexpected themes, Tollywood too dishes out worthwhile flicks and this one stands out tall amidst the recent releases.Presented in a non-linear format, the film’ s USP is its editing that lifts up the proceedings to dizzy heights falling in line with the herculean heights of the Himalayas where many sequences have been shot!The screenplay showcases three different tracks – an ahori named Shankar (Vishwak Sen) who suffers from a peculiar disease – he can never ever bear human touch!An illuminating mushroom that shows up only once in 36 years, that too during a particular period, atop the snow capped Himalayan mountains holds the solution for his strange ailment andhe is joined by Janhvi (Chandini Chowdary), a reaseach scholar!The second track is about a little girl whose mother used to be a Devadasi. As the local head is desirous of making the little one too as a Devadasi, she escapes from the clutches of the locals but is caught and brought back only to be transported to a medical facility where the inmates are subject to dangerous experiments!The third episode is about a teenage boy who tries to escape from the very same medical facility where he has been imprisoned since long!How these three are brought in line is all what the rest of the gripping narration about!An average film goer may find it difficult to follow and understand thenuances of the multi-layered script that needs careful and meticulous watching, without blinking!Of course, there are a few loose ends but overall it is a great movie watching experience that is meant for the discerning viewers!
Vishwak and Chandini are too good for words of praise! Abhinaya too makes a mark!
