Naan Kudithukonde Uruppen is a film of the yester years that championed the cause of those who become slaves to alcohol and lose their families and lives as well!
Here is one such film that crusades the cause of those who get victimized by hitting the bottle.
The protagonist (Jaya Krishnamoorthy) whose dad had died after consuming illicit liquor grows up under the care of his doting mom (Eswari Rao) who toils hard to educate her son who joins a college and pursues his studies in a dedicated manner.
His class mate ( Chandini) falls for his virtues and innocence. His colleagues, out of sheer jealousy, introduce him to liquor drinking. But the force of circumstances, he marries his lover very much against the wishes of her family.
The further turn of events force him to hit the bottle again and what follows afterward is painful and pathetic, after his mom comes to know about her son’ s present predicament.
A heart touching climax that is of fire brand!
Eswari Rao is good while Chandini does her part well. Jaya Krishnamoorthy needs a few lessons in expressions but overall, he has emerged truimphs after handling many portfolios…
Worth a watch, certainly…
