Aagol Part 3 to be released in 2026
Tamil Literary Award-winning writer Kabilan Vairamuthu writes
Aagol is a novel written by Kabilan Vairamuthu and published in 2022, focusing on the British government’s Criminal Inheritance Act. The book is a time travel story that tells the idea that the trend of treating civilians as criminals is still present in world politics today. Aagol was also published in English and was well received. Meanwhile, the second part of the novel, Machiavelli’s Coup, was released this year. Machiavelli’s Coup talks about how power centers can enslave the thoughts of the people with the help of science in the future. It tells the history of the eight Madurai countries that were greatly affected by the Criminal Inheritance Act. The books Aagol and Machiavelli’s Coup were selected in the best science fiction category of the Pavai Educational Institutions and Kabilan Vairamuthu was awarded the Tamil Literary Inheritance Award. Now, Kabilan Vairamuthu has posted on his Instagram that research work for the third part of Aagol has begun. He also mentioned that the book will be released in 2026. It is very rare for a novel to be written in three parts in Tamil. Kabilan Vairamuthu’s previous novel, Meinikari, was released as a film titled Kavan, directed by K.V. Anand. Will Aagol novels also become films? Whether the criminal lineage stories coming to the screen will be fulfilled through Kabilan Vairamuthu’s Aagol remains to be seen.
