Produced by Srinivasarao Jalagam on behalf of Naisath Media Works, the movie “Emakhathaki” was released on March 7th as a completely different horror thriller set in a village backdrop. The movie, which received a great response as a quality work in a different field, garnered praise from critics as well.

They ask me why do you do small films? Why do you do films with debutants after doing big films? I have the same answer to that, for me, there is no such thing as a small film or a big film, money is not important to me, what is important is good quality work. George is a very talented director. He and I were talking about doing some films together earlier, but it did not happen due to some reasons, I liked this story very much when he told it. I told this story as an idea to both Rahul and Srinivasarao sir, and they said, “Develop it immediately and we will definitely do it.” Then I told the same story to cinematographer Sujith.

The film, starring Uma Maheshwara Ugra Rupasya and Mr. Pragnent fame Rupa Kodavayur in the lead roles, is directed by debutant director Peppin George. “Emakaathagi” is a paranormal mystery thriller set in a village setting. The film also stars Amaran fame actress Geetha Kailasam and Black Sheep fame Narendra Prasad in the lead roles.
The story revolves around a village affected by the death of a young woman. The entire film was shot in and around Thanjavur.
Cinematography is by Sujith Sarang of Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, Dear Comrade, Mukhal Nee Mukhum Nee, Kanam, while editing is by Sreejith Sarang. Sync Cinema, a sound design company known for films like Animal, Amaran, Leo, etc., has designed the sound. The film is a masterpiece of high-quality technical quality.
