The pre-release event of the movie ‘Tourist Family’ starring actor Sasikumar – Simran, directed by debutant director Abhishan Jeevin, which will be released on May 1st, was held in Chennai in the presence of the film crew, leading celebrities from the film industry, and press and media friends.
The movie ‘Tourist Family’, directed by debutant director Abhishan Jeevin, stars Sasikumar, Simran, Yogi Babu, Mithun Jai Shankar, Kamlesh, M. S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Pax Bhagavathy Perumal, Ilango Kumaravel, Sreeja Ravi and many others. The film has cinematography by Aravind Viswanathan and music by Shawn Roldan. Bharat Vikraman is handling the editing and Raj Kamal is handling the art direction. The film, which focuses on the lives of Eelam refugees who find refuge in Tamil Nadu, is produced by producers Nazareth Basliyan-Mahesh Raj Basliyan and Yuvaraj Ganesan under the banner of Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment.
The film’s music and preview launch, which will be released in theaters worldwide on May 1st, was held in Chennai. Hello everyone, I have watched the film Tourist Family after a long time. It was a lively, emotional family entertainer. In today’s environment in Tamil cinema, works that talk about love and speak about our soft feelings and humanity have become rare. Even the few films that do come, are not right in terms of craft and are not interesting, and therefore do not become films for the people. It is in this situation that this wonderful work has come as a perfect blend of story and creative ability. As soon as I saw this film, I thought that people would definitely celebrate the film in theaters. Director Abhishan Jeevind’s first film did not feel like it, there was so much maturity in the film. He took a complex background and without talking about any politics, he talked about wonderful politics for people. He said that we should all be united, without giving advice,
in a very funny way. He has a great future in Tamil cinema. It is very surprising when I see Sasikumar sir. Whether he wins or loses, people will always respect him. The films he has been choosing recently are on the next level, and the most important film in that regard will be Tourist Family. I have not seen this film yet, I laughed so much after watching the teaser, and when I hear what people who have seen the film say here, the desire to watch the film increases. I did not do any work in this film. But I always see a million dollar production as my film, producer Yuvaraj Ganesan sent me the plot summary of the film, it was so interesting to read. Director Abhishan Jeevind is a surprise, he looks like a college junior, but he surprises everyone like a player who suddenly appears in a sports match and surprises everyone. When I think of Sasikumar, the film Subramaniam comes to mind, no one else can give such a special film. He has given a wonderful performance in the film. When I finished the script of Good Night, no one really liked it and no one came forward to produce it. Sasikumar sir’s films start soft and end bloody, that’s how we usually see it. But there are no such scenes in this film, there is a beautiful scene in the film involving the entire family, no spoilers, but we will watch the film again for that scene. Nowadays, if you are emotional, they call you a grin. Sasi sir, the director of Ayodhya, gives everyone great confidence. In these two weeks since the film ‘Tourist Family’ was ready, I can hear a lot of good things about the film. But I knew about this film 1.5 years ago. I mean, when director Abhishan Jeevindh told me the entire script, it was intimidating. The way he tells the story is like watching the film. I can’t imagine anyone else in this role, Sasi sir. I can definitely say that Tourist Family is the best film of this century. A few months ago, some people from Sri Lanka came to me. They shared with me with concern that we have been here for 35 years, but we have not yet received a respectable recognition. That pain was understandable when I watched this film. Abhishan Jeevindh cannot achieve a big success beyond this film. If Subramaniapuram is for Sasikumar, Naadodigal is for me, and similarly for Abhishan, this Tourist Family is for him. It is impossible to make a better film than this. When Naadodigal was released, KP sir was keen to watch it with me. We went to a theatre, the audience applauded the title, KP sir turned to me and asked why they were all cheering for the title. I didn’t understand that either. People had a lot of love for the film. I am sure that this film will do the same. There are many scenes in this film that I cannot forget, even a dog has acted wonderfully in the film. After watching the film, I was eager to be a part of it and I kept asking the team members to make me a dubbing artist for at least a small part but they have already completed the film. After watching this teaser, director Sasi sir said that it reminded him of a line from one of his film songs. He immediately praised the director after getting my phone number. He was the only person I asked to come and watch the film. I was very scared for those three hours till the end of the film. But after watching it, he gave me very touching wishes. When I was a little boy, my mother would encourage and praise many people. When I became a director, I thought, why would everyone praise my mother? Now I understand that I am a good person only because of her. * My father suffered a lot in the beginning. He used to sleep on the roadside and work. After I became a director, I was determined to share all my hardships with him. But when I grew up, my father never let me face such hardships. Sasikumar sir has played the role of a father to two children in this film. Including me, there are three children. He is like a father to me. It was only after Simran Madam that this film went to the next level and everyone started talking about it. Thanks to him. Yogi Babu sir initially gave us a 5-day call sheet. After the first day of shooting, he came and told us not to worry about money and said that he would give us as many dates as we wanted for this film. M.S. Bhaskar sir is punctual. He is a very talented actor. For every scene, he would give 3 different performances and ask me to choose the one I liked the most. I will dedicate 50% of my success to Sean Roldan. He has been a pillar not only in music but also in life. My directorial team is excellent. I will keep them with me for my next film as well. Thanks to Venkatramanan who worked hard in promoting the film. He has also sung a beautiful song called ‘Raagi’ in the film. I liked the script of Tourist Family as soon as I read it. I was sure that this story would be a hit, and as soon as I told the story, I praised director Abhishan Jeevind that you will reach great heights in Tamil cinema. After watching the film, I can confidently say that he did not give 100% as he said, but he did 200%. After listening to a script and deciding to produce, I would feel relaxed after appointing them, with music by Sean Roldan and editing by Bharat Vikraman. That includes the audio rights. After choosing Sasikumar sir, Think Music Santhosh comes from a quick and easy-to-access category. Along with our distribution partner Vidhur bro, Vinoth CJ bro also brought the film to this extent.
He has been a great asset in taking it to a big scale. It is rare for a small film to see a big release. Without Sasikumar sir, this film would not have been possible.
