Retro ‘hero presented with diamond ring
Suriya was gifted a diamond ring by distributor Shakthi Film Factory Shakthi Velan
2D Entertainment – Stone Bench Films’ production company, Karthik Subbaraj’s ‘Retro’ starring Suriya in the lead role, has released in theaters and collected more than one hundred crore rupees worldwide in its first weekend, joining the one hundred crore rupees club. To celebrate this success, the film crew had organized a special event to thank the fans and media who made the film a success.
The event held in Chennai was attended by film fraternity, film crew and media. On this occasion, Sakthi Velan, owner of Shakthi Film Factory, which distributed the film ‘Retro’ in theaters across Tamil Nadu, gifted diamond rings to the film’s technicians and hero Suriya.
Distributor Sakthi Velan said, “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to 2D, Suriya and Rajasekhara Pandian for giving me the opportunity to release Retro across Tamil Nadu. We are also very happy that this film has become the highest-grossing film of the year. We gifted diamond rings to the producers and key artists who were responsible for the film’s creation, such as the director, music composer, lyricist, and cinematographer. When Suriya gave the ring to Anna, he immediately put it back on me and shared his love and support, which became another moving moment in my life. This is not the first time for me to have received this gesture, previously, Suriya Anna gifted me a gold chain at the ‘Kadaikutty Singam’ success ceremony and a diamond bracelet at the ‘Viruman’ success ceremony, but I was given it back by him.
Following this, the journalists and film industry people who had visited the event took pictures with Suriya and the film crew.
