The trailer and song launch of the film ‘Thiruppur Kuruvi’, which will be released in theaters on May 23rd, was held in Chennai yesterday. In this, famous director and producer V. Sekar and Producers’ Council executive committee member Vijayamurali participated as special guests.

Speaking about the film, director and producer V. Sekar said, “He has given a great film on a small scale. Completing a film in 10 days is a big deal. These guys have done it. The director has also been very clear about what he wants and what he is going to say and has completed the film. For such small films, the producers are journalists. They are the ones who have to take this film to the people. They are the ones who made me successful. I made the film for Rs. 15 lakhs. The journalists are the reason why that film became successful. That is why I would say that journalists are the producers for such small films.

After the film is completed, the actors and actresses go away alone, and only the director and producer work even after the film is released. Otherwise, even after the film is released, the actors and actresses who have acted in this film should be united and take the film to the people. Take two areas each and take your film directly to the people there. Give notices, put up banners on a bullock cart. Whatever costs less, do it differently and make this film successful, Please, thank you.” He said.

The film’s director Jayakanthan Rengasamy said, “I have already directed a film. I have made another film and it is ready, but it has not been released. When I worked in Tiruppur, I observed some incidents happening there. I felt that I should tell them to the people. Then, even after I became a director, I did not make that story. My previous film did not release, and when I decided to make another one, I thought that I should make a story that happened in Tiruppur. I started immediately.

A lot of people have helped me from the beginning. It is because of their help that this film has reached the release. Thank you to everyone. This is a true incident that happened in Tiruppur. There are many incidents like this happening there. But, if I want to tell them, I have to tell them commercially, because the budget is high, so I have only taken a small thing and done it. We have made it with great difficulty. I request the journalists to cooperate, thank you.” He said.

Producers’ Council executive committee member Vijayamurali said, “The media should give a lot of support to small films. The media is the backbone of such small films. In 10 days, this team has delivered a film with social concern. I wish this film success.”
